HD FBS is a metal-bond Fickert for grinding rough slabs on automatic polishing machines. The old specification offers 120, 130 and 140 mm lengths and a coarse-to-medium grit list from 30# through 200#.
Length and grit are separate order fields
| Code | HD FBS |
|---|---|
| Listed lengths | 120 / 130 / 140 mm |
| Available grits | 30#, 40#, 50#, 60#, 80#, 100#, 120#, 140#, 170# and 200# |
Confirm the holder length before selecting the grit sequence. A correct abrasive grade in the wrong length is not a usable substitute for the installed Fickert.
Plan the rough-grinding positions
The old page does not name a stone type, so provide the slab material and incoming surface rather than assuming this metal-bond range fits every line. Identify the automatic polishing machine, head positions and the current consumable. A controlled sample should check stock removal and the scratch pattern left for the next stage.
Record which holder length occupies each position so replacements can be prepared without stopping to identify the tool again.
Order and trial checklist
- Fickert holder and required 120, 130 or 140 mm length
- Slab material and rough-surface condition
- Selected grits and quantity by grinding position
- Water and recorded machine conditions
- Surface uniformity and abrasive condition after the test
Keep one accepted surface photograph for each important transition. If the line changes slab material, repeat the observation before carrying the old sequence into routine production.
