This resin-bond Frankfurt is listed for polishing marble slabs on automatic polishing machines. It shares the HD 512M code shown on the metal-bond page but has a much longer grit progression, extending from 60# to 6000#.
A polishing range rather than one finishing grit
The source lists 60#, 80#, 100#, 120#, 220#, 300#, 400#, 600#, 800#, 1000#, 1200#, 1500#, 1800#, 3500# and 6000#. A quotation should identify the exact grits and quantities needed. The long list does not mean every marble or line must use every entry.
Build the sequence from the incoming surface
Send the marble type, the surface delivered by the previous grinding stage and the target finish. Identify the automatic line and Frankfurt holder. During a trial, keep head pressure, water and line conditions recorded while evaluating each transition; changing several variables together makes it difficult to locate the source of a scratch or uneven finish.
