Slate can present bedding and variable resistance, so the cutting plane and wire route need to be agreed from the actual face. Granite, marble and limestone inquiries should be treated as separate selections, even though the machine family can be used with them. Matching the wire and operating plan to each stone is more reliable than transferring the slate setup.
